I haven’t blogged in far too long. I’d love write some witty funny prose but…I. am. drained. Fred and I have been living in a hotel, an Air Force hotel, for 52 days. Can you image? Can you imagine that they let us stay that long? The house hunting process took way longer than we expected buuut we are moving into our house tomorrow morning! Our first house together as almost husband and wife!!! Fred and I picked up the key yesterday and stopped by the house for the first time without our realtor. As Fred unlocked the front door I put down everything I was carrying and swung my arms open in what he knows to be my “pick me up” signal. And I mean physically pick me up, no cheesy bar lines involved. He carried me in and swung me around as I informed him that he would be doing this again when we return after the wedding ;)
Ah yes, the wedding. We’re getting married in 30 days! Crazy!!! I feel so far behind, but I’m heading to New Jersey on Tuesday to give myself (hopefully) plenty of time to tie up all of the many many loose ends. Oh, and plan a honeymoon. We have no idea where we’re going yet. But I assure you it will be warm and lovely. Greece is high on our list, but we’ll see…anything could happen!
Those are my updates. Please preemptively forgive me for my lack of blogging in the coming month. We’ll get back to regularly scheduled blogging in the fall ;)
And for your viewing pleasure, here’s my favorite room in our new house! Can’t wait to start really cooking again!

Mora and Brian’s wedding fell during the time I was knee, well really neck deep, in my own wedding planning. Time was short, tensions were high, and I was quite frankly, stressed. Their wedding was a breath of fresh air for me. I was reminded what weddings are all about: marrying the one you love and celebrating with your family and friends. I know this seems obvious and simple, but the stress of planning a wedding can take over and I am so thankful to have this clear vision again.
From the start Mora and Brian called themselves traditionalists and were against doing the first look. But just a few weeks before the wedding, they changed their mind and I’m so glad they did! We had so much time for portraits of just the bride and groom, which I absolutely love! And Mora and Brian loved being able to enjoy their cocktail hour with their guests. The day was full of much laughter and a few emotional tears, hugs and kisses from loved ones, and many many warm wishes as they started their new life as husband and wife.

How gorgeous does Mora look in her Priscilla of Boston dress?!

Mora and Brian decided to read a little something to each other before exchanging their vows. Mora was nothing but giggles when Brian pulled out his iPhone to read from!

I love those beaming newlywed smiles!

Mora and Brian, thank you for reminding me what weddings are all about simply by being you. Your love for one another is apparent, as is your joy for life. I know you will have a lifetime of happiness together!
This is the first time I’ve photographed a friend’s wedding and I absolutely loved it! I was a guest and a photographer and I loved the mix! Fred graduated from the Air Force Academy in 2008 with Rebecca and Miles so we’ve known them as a couple for a few years now. They were married at a friend’s home in Denver, Colorado and I loved the intimacy of this choice!

Rebecca and Miles choose to do the first look which I LOVE! Miles was too funny…he was like, “I hear her coming…she’s right behind me! Is she?! Is she coming? Oh man, I’m nervous.” Haha!

Rebecca, you are a gorgeous bride!

I don’t know what it is, but when I saw this photo I was like that is Rebecca…

I loved how intimate the ceremony was, it really allowed me to get in close and capture their expressions!

So happy to be married!

The first dance.

I normally don’t post so many dancing photos but….Award for Best Dancing at a Wedding goes to…

Rebecca and Miles, Thank you for including Fred and me in this beautiful event. We love you both and look forward to watching you grow in your love for each other.
