10-04

Fred started pilot training a month ago and it was about time for group photos. His class, 10-04, is going to be using these to send a photo card home to their families and friends. Sweet, huh? Oh, and they’re also asking for money. Ha! There is a lot of stuff they have to pay for out of pocket: beer, patches, beer, snacks, beer, assignment night festivities, beer, etc. I kid I kid. But I mean really, who could say no to these faces? Thanks for being so easy to work with guys, it was just a little hard to hear out on the flight line! My only complaint is that I couldn’t pick the time – the sun was almost directly over head! There’s always next time – like when you’re in helmets and g-suits!

Here’s the whole class, ENJJPT 10-04:group-smile-2

The Class is broken up into two flights. This is A Flight:flight-sing

E Flight:flight-married

E Flight getting buddy buddy:married-flight-goofy

I couldn’t believe only two guys wanted individual shots! And one of them didn’t have a choice, Fred is on the left :) Well, I’m sure there will be many more photo ops in the future!flight

April 20, 2009 - 2:57 pm Alyssa Turner - Awesome pix Erica! I love a man in uniform. I lived in WF for a bit too. I know a few Instructor Pilots that are still there...small world. Also check out Kelly Trimble, a dear friend of mine and photographer http://www.kellyspointofview.com

Bluebonnets

Meegan and I took her son Aydin and his friend Noah out to the bluebonnets for an impromptu afterschool photoshoot. This was my first time seeing bluebonnets, they’re so pretty!

April 16, 2010 - 12:17 am Nancy Evans - Hi Erica, I became a fan of yours a few months ago; I'm thinking that I found you indirectly through my niece in Florida. In any case your work continues to inspire me. All that you publish on FB and here is of the highest quality. You market yourself SO WELL. Do you use IWEB or have a developer uploading your work. I like the dual aproach; giving each sample some movement. I too am a photographer and have loved image-making all my life. But I'm much older than you! i am glad you pursued your dreams at a much younger age. I worked For HP for 13 years before marrying and raising a family. I got that first job out of college with no experience and a portfolio of my photographs, which got me hired. It had NOTHING to do with the job, but my passion was convincing. I would love it if you would become a fan of Auvergne studios on Facebook and see what I do, as we share this wonderful profession. Wishing you the best of luck on your move and upcoming marriage. Best wishes, Nancy Evans, Auvergne Studios, Sherborn, MA. I now

November 21, 2009 - 11:41 pm Leah - Hello Erica! I have been admiring your photos for quite some time now. I found you through Jasmine Star's facebook page. (LOVE HER!) And I've really become a fan of your work! May I ask what kind of camera you use and what lens you would recommend? I am currently a Pentax owner but I am wanting a Canon and I'm trying to narrow down my selection by asking my favourite photographers what they prefer to use and have found work well! Any feedback on this subject would be so very helpful! Thanks so much! Keep up the GREAT work!! :) Leah
