I am so lucky that there are so many great couples in Fred’s pilot training class, one of them being Liz and Mark. They are such a sweet couple and they just had little Leila in February. She is so precious and such a good baby, she is almost always content and only cries when something is wrong. It was fun watching Mark get her to smile with silly talk. He’s good at it, but I soon found out that what really makes Leila smile is getting naked! They started to take off her clothes and sure enough – she was all smiles! Mark says, “I don’t like this one bit! Not a good sign of things to come!” Haha. I’m sure Leila will stay as sweet as she is now. I can’t wait to watch her grow in her first year of life!

After taking photos their home we ventured out to a bubblegum pink wall, but by then it was naptime for Leila :)

My trip home to Jersey was supposed to be full of three of my favorite f’s: family, friends, and food. I got a little of that in before Saturday when I found myself in the emergency room being asked by a surgeon if I qualified for any of her five f’s: fat, forty, flatulent, fertile or female. Apparently these are the common categories of gall bladder trouble. Let’s hope I’m a fertile female.

So long story short, no pun intended, I am short one gall bladder. Luckily it is a minimally invasive surgery (if you call four incisions minimal!) and I am thankful to be home for my parents and sister to help me out in a major way. My awesome female surgeon also cut my bandages in the shapes of hearts which was so sweet and made me smile for days to come :)

So my return to Texas was delayed but I’ll be back in the next few days, let the catch up begin! Hope everyone else out there is healthy, taught me not to take it for granted!

I have a flight departing 7 hours from now but I just had to post a sneak peak from my two Sunday sessions: 3 month old beautiful blue eyed Leila and then Lindley and Derek and their new pup Moose. Many many more favorites when I return…in a week! Can you wait that long?!
