Riley Dog

My friend Rebecca (of Rebecca and Miles) just ended her temporary duty at Sheppard and headed back to Tuscan, Arizona today. Before leaving we went out for lunch to say our goodbyes and stopped by the Wichita Falls Humane Society for her to pick up her newly adopted adorable beagle, Riley. I had to snap a couple of photos before they drove out west. I’m sure you’ve heard about the theory of people looking like their dogs and sometimes I really believe it…Rebecca’s red hair and dark eyebrows match Riley’s red coat and dark eyebrows a little too closely not to notice :) Pretty cute, huh? If you are thinking about getting a cat or dog please stop by the Humane Society before going to a breeder. They have so many amazing animals who really need a good home and someone to love them. I mean how can you resist a big wet nose…

Erin & Jason : Married

When I pulled up to the beautiful Old Country Club Inn to meet Micki of M. Benoit Photography to help her photograph Erin & Jason’s outdoor wedding, I was thrilled. The house was built in 1918 and has been beautifully kept up retaining all of it’s vintage charm including carved wood details and beautiful claw foot bath tubs. Johnny was so helpful and kind, I highly recommend this venue for couples looking for a beautiful outdoor venue. And we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day, just slightly overcast, a photographer’s dream lighting, and a just warm enough with a slight breeze to blow your hair gently. I met Erin and Jason separately as they were getting ready. There was such a magnetic energy in the air that just about exploded when Erin walked down the aisle toward Jason. Love was truly in the air. It was a beautiful celebration with family and friends. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your wedding day!

A moment of prayer before the ceremony begins…

Followed by a moment of laughter :)

Another great thing about the Old County Club Inn is the huge balcony on the second story, perfect for getting a bird’s eye view of the ceremony…

I don’t know anyone who doesn’t like cake, except now for Jason, so banana pudding was also served – his favorite dessert!

Her Morning Elegance

I don’t post much personal stuff on my blog but this music video for Her Morning Elegance by Oren Lavie is just so beautiful, poetic, and inspiring. I love it.
