I like to think I have a good design sense, I just lack the technical skills to back it up! Maybe one day I’ll have the time to learn Illustrator or InDesign but right now all my efforts are focused on photography. I wanted to make some sample cards for clients to get excited their upcoming Christmas photoshoots! All of these stylish templates are from Photo Affections, which one of my awesome clients, Meagan Spaulding, pointed me too!

Sometimes it’s nice to live in a small town. Nice for someone you don’t know to call out your name in a store, just like an old friend. Of course it helps that I have my photo on my bio page. Lindsey had recognized me previously at the Wednesday night couples class at First Baptist. But she wasn’t sure it was me until she saw me with Fred in tow at the Just Between Friends Consignment sale :) Happens that she had a family photoshoot booked with me the very next weekend. By that time she felt like friend, and I can’t wait to go play bunko with her and her crew on Friday! Moral of the story, if you see me – say hello, I’d love to chat!
When I pulled up to the shoot I saw a little arm waving from the backseat and a little voice saying, “Hello Ms.Erica!!!” First sign of a good shoot. Lindsey’s girls, Olivia and Addison, are sweet as can be and at only 1 and 4 years old very independent. Lindsey’s husband Nate is as friendly and kind as she is. We headed to Lucy Park and and just chatted our way along the path to get to a spot where the yellow leaves were shining through. I love talking to fellow Air Force families and hearing their stories and getting their advice. We ended the session with a tea party and then the girls changed into their Halloween costumes for some fairy fun!

I’ve done it a few times already, but having a fellow photographer ask you to photograph them and their family is nerve wracking and also very flattering! Jamie has been a great peer and friend since I moved here. And her husband and two girls are sweet as can be! I had such a blast photographing them, and had way too many favorites from the shoot. Jamie did a fabulous job coordinating outfits and bringing old cameras, books, and cards to use as props. Look to this shoot for inspiration! All of this really makes for incredible photos. I know Jamie has been dying to see these, so I hope the weekend wait was worth it!

Sweet sisters…

Being a big sister, I know how Corey feels sometimes ;) Too funny!

Such a precious moment…

I am absolutely in love with this light! Golden and glowing :)

I love this black, white and red color combination…perfect for Christmas cards!

I like to end my shoots with some candids (when the kiddos are tuckered out) so we read some books and played some cards! I love when people bring fun props from home!
