As I drove my trusty Honda Civic down Farm to Market Road 276S I began to kick myself for leaving the GPS I just got for Christmas at home. Had I gone too far? Not far enough? Field were all I could see for miles as I tried to imagine living so far out in the country. Then a church steeple appeared on the horizon. St.Joseph’s Church in Rhineland Texas is a true hidden gem. The town is dirt roads, quaint homes, and this gorgeous church. It’s own parishioners began construction in 1927, a labor of love.
I arrived at the church while Sydney and Aaron were each getting ready, smiling with excitement but outwardly calm. When Aaron first started pursuing Sydney, she took his pursuit well, less than seriously. He was persistent. She took note that this guy wasn’t going anywhere, and let him into her life. All of their friends and family gathered on the second day of the new year to celebrate the start of their life together. Sydney and Aaron were a photographer’s dream. So easy going, no drama, and made sure that my second shooter and I were taken care of the whole day. The only thing that didn’t cooperate was the freezing temperature! These two braved the cold for a few moments so I could take a few shots outside.
Sydney and Aaron, thank you so much for allowing me to capture this beautiful day and your commitment to each other!
