A little post from the great state of New Jersey! I’m going to be here and out of the office until March 4th because I’m wedding planning! In the last 3 days I’ve been in 4 different states and sleeping in the same place every night! I’ve been on the move!
I wish Fred could be here to experience this all with me. I was at a venue today and was so immersed in my feelings that I had to take a step back and really be Fred’s advocate, trying to think what he would want! I really couldn’t do any of this without my parents. They both took off work today and from 8am to 6pm we visited venues. And I said it before, but now that I’ve seen it in person I really think…we have our venue! It’s very different and I’m very excited about it! I’ll leave you in a bit of suspense until it’s actually booked!
Annnnd I also found a dress! Do you love it?!?!

Okay, I found this dress in the back of my bedroom closet at my parents house. This is the dress my Mom wore to her wedding in 1984, really not all that long ago. I do love how simple this dress is, just like my Mom – not a lot of fuss! I actually think it’s really pretty cute, but not for me :) Had fun trying it on though!
Fred and I have been engaged a month now which is hard to believe! I’m thrilled to be engaged and can’t wait to make the commit to spend my life with Fred in front of our family and friends. He makes my heart so happy! We had a impromptu engagement shoot with Meegan last week when we got a beautiful surprise with all this snow! You can check out more photos from the shoot on her blog! Many thanks to Meegan for such awesome images!
In unrelated news a bunch of my peers have been using formspring to answer questions. It has been so informative to follow these questions and be able to get inside their minds a bit! You can ask me anything, here! These can be photography related or not! Have fun with it ;)

I got a text from Meegan this morning reading: Snow shoot??? Yes, please! I somehow managed to miss the last snowstorm here over Christmas so this is really my first snow of the season, I was so excited! I remember being in grade school taking my mom’s film point and shoot outside on snow days to take pictures of the trees. Because they were so beautiful. And today, they were so beautiful. Though today it is nice to have a subject in front of those trees. I’m so thankful to have Meegan as a peer and a friend. Can’t wait to see the shots she got of Fred and me!
