Now I know why people get stressed about photo shoots. I am one of them. Picking outfits. Getting a manicure. Finding a bottle of cute pink lemonade. Setting up a picnic added to the list of preperations but I LOVE what we got and I’m so happy I decided to do it! I love when people bring props to show off their personalities. Throughout the time we’ve been dating, Fred and I have often grabbed the blanket that stays tucked away in my trunk so we can lounge in the sun, eat, drink, and be merry :) Also, I should know better since I am a photographer, but hair and makeup ALWAYS runs behind! Schedule your appointments an hour and a half before you think you should and you’ll be golden. Learned my lesson for the big day! Just thought I’d give some advice from being on the other side of the camera.
Despite being in a frenzy and late to our shoot (tisk tisk, I know I know!) as soon as we met up with Meegan I was totally calm. She is fabulous and made us look fabulous. I can’t thank her enough! Love ya girlie! Here’s a little taste of what she blogged!

I’ve been lusting after this adorable poster by Enormous Champions for a little while…though the 22 x 30″ poster is only $70, I’ve been trying to freeze my spending as of late with exception to all things wedding. If the poster is out of your budget you can get the notecard from their Etsy store for $5! Awesome! Oh and if you don’t know what to get Fred and I as a wedding gift… ;) I think I would have a totally random registry if our towels weren’t from freshman year of college and I didn’t break a measuring cup while making pancakes last weekend…among other things!

Yesterday was an awesome day. I got up at 6:45. This is a rarity and I forgot how much I love to get up early and have such a full day! I ate pancakes with Fred. I did some editing. Fred’s flight schedule was switched around and I found myself able to cozy up with him on the back porch for ten minutes and I just soaked it in. It was so awesome to take a pause in the middle of the day and appreciate the beautiful day that God gave me and the beautiful man that God gave me. Yesterday I concentrated on being thankful for those two simple but huge things.
For me, yesterday was the first day of spring. Not only was it temperate but there was that smell. That fresh spring smell. Those tiny little buds on the trees to tell you that the last of winter is over and everything is starting anew :)
