This is the first time I’ve photographed a friend’s wedding and I absolutely loved it! I was a guest and a photographer and I loved the mix! Fred graduated from the Air Force Academy in 2008 with Rebecca and Miles so we’ve known them as a couple for a few years now. They were married at a friend’s home in Denver, Colorado and I loved the intimacy of this choice!

Rebecca and Miles choose to do the first look which I LOVE! Miles was too funny…he was like, “I hear her coming…she’s right behind me! Is she?! Is she coming? Oh man, I’m nervous.” Haha!

Rebecca, you are a gorgeous bride!

I don’t know what it is, but when I saw this photo I was like that is Rebecca…

I loved how intimate the ceremony was, it really allowed me to get in close and capture their expressions!

So happy to be married!

The first dance.

I normally don’t post so many dancing photos but….Award for Best Dancing at a Wedding goes to…

Rebecca and Miles, Thank you for including Fred and me in this beautiful event. We love you both and look forward to watching you grow in your love for each other.
Our dear friends Rebecca and Miles were married in Denver on Saturday, it was an awesome trip and an awesome wedding! Things are a little crazy around here, the movers are coming on Friday so I need to start packing up my office! I’m trying to get caught up on all things Erica M Photography related before going to NJ for 5 weeks while Fred is in training, wish me luck! I can’t wait to post my favorites from this wedding…it definitely wins the “Best Dancing at a Wedding” award!

Catie and Michael’s day could not have gone more smoothly. Their timeline was perfect and I’ll do a separate post on it later! Catie took my advice and got her and her bridesmaids hair and makeup done early. When I called to tell her I was on the way to her parents house, the girls were just relaxing and having a bite to eat and the guys were upstairs getting dressed. We got started right on time with the bride and groom doing a first look! I absolutely adore when my couples decide to see each other before the ceremony! Catie and Michael were the most beautiful and relaxed couple, they compliment each other so well. I loved them and their family, they were so easy going and laughed at all my silly jokes ;)

The first look! I love the expression on Michael’s face, seeing his bride for the first time!

If you’re wondering why Catie’s dress is absolutely perfect for her it’s because she designed it and her Mom made it, along with the bridesmaids dresses! Catie studies physics and she’s creative! Love that!

When Catie and Michael got chocked up while reciting their vows, I found myself having to hold it together! You could just feel the love between them, they adore each other. I love that doing the first look doesn’t take away from the emotions of the ceremony.

The reception was at The Wellington and the decor and flowers were done by The Two Clever Chicks. The reception was nature inspired, fresh moss was draped over tables and fireplaces and the flowers were in the fresh palate of white and green.

Towards the end of the reception Catie’s Mom thanked me for allowing everyone to be themselves and not directing all the time…gladly :)

I know this looks like a blizzard of fake snow but it’s actually ecofettti, it dissolves in the rain! How cool is that?!

Catie and Michael, I wish you all the happiness in the world. Thank you for letting me be a part of this beautiful day!
